Please mark your calendar for the 5th Annual Roaring to Ronald’s event – Sunday, June 9th! This is a one-of-a-kind ‘parade’ of hogs and hot rods escorted from Baltimore Harley to the Ronald McDonald House in downtown Baltimore. The families at the house will be there to greet and have lunch. It’s a feel-good day suitable for the whole family! Don’t have a hog or rod? No worries – we have a luxury coach in the parade as well. Check us out at www.roaringtoronalds.com for all the details. Hope to see you there!

Red Shoe Shuffle Success!

April 16, 2013

The Numbers Only Tell Part of the Story

1,431 – number of families who have come through the front doors of the Ronald McDonald House since we shuffled last year

2,127 – number of runners, walkers and shufflers at the Red Shoe Shuffle

143  – number of volunteers who gave up their morning to help us on race day

32 – number of  Ronald McDonald House Families current and past who attended the Red Shoe Shuffle

14 – number of Ronald McDonald House Children who participated and experienced the thrill of victory in the race thanks to Athletes Serving Athletes

1 – number of Ronald McDonald Houses in the state of Maryland

These numbers, however, only tell part of the story. The Red Shoe Shuffle is not just about the finish line… but the journey. It’s all about Faith in Humanity, Hope in Motion, Love in Action – it is Community defined at the highest level.

Together, we share the same goal – to show our love and support for every family and every child that needs the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Baltimore. Together, we congratulate the more than 2,000 participants including individual  race winners in all categories, the 110  teams and everyone who shuffled across that finish line with us. Together, we have raised more than $250,000 through this event.

We are overwhelmed with your kindness and generosity and on behalf of everyone at our House, we are grateful beyond measure.

Sandy Pagnotti
President & CEO

Show that Shuttle!

We needed $75,000 to purchase a new, much needed shuttle to safely transport children and their families to five area partner hospitals.
We more than exceeded that goal and couldn’t be more grateful for our Community and our Red Shoe Crew, who put their heart and soul into this event.

  We’re All Winners

Hats off to the largest Team and Fundraising Group - Shocks Rocks –  which captured the spirit of the Shuffle and our 2012 Honorary Race Chair Brooke Shockley, who lost her courageous battle with Cancer in August but not before inspiring so many.  We also want to thank Peggy Shockley, our highest fundraiser, for her efforts in helping our House. See all Team and Fundraising Groups.

Congratulations to our male/female Shuffle Winners, Tyler Muse and Lisa Selby. Click for all Runner Results and Overall Winners in all Categories.
