Volunteer

The volunteers at the Ronald McDonald House are vital members of our family, our community and our home. With only 6 full time staff employees, we need YOUR HELP!  By volunteering, you offer a link to the world beyond illness and hospitals. The caring, skills and support of our large and diverse volunteer family are one of the most important components of making our House a home!

Volunteering at our House offers a wide choice of opportunities, flexibility to fit your schedule and the best benefit of all – the smiles and gratitude of our families and their children. We welcome volunteers from every walk of life – students, families, companies, corporations, and church groups to name a few—and provide a flexible schedule with no minimum time requirements. All volunteer activities are scheduled and coordinated to best fit the volunteers’ schedule and the schedule of the House, with no two groups scheduled at the same time.

We have recently expanded our Volunteer Program to help supplement our daily needs, and are looking for some friendly, dedicated folks to fill these new openings. These new positions are for individual volunteers interested in making a regular, weekly commitment and are a minimum of 18 years old. Most regular volunteers serve one three or four hour shift per week during our normal operating hours (9:00 a.m. through 9:00 p.m. daily). We prefer that new volunteers start with a schedule of at least three hours per week and commit to a minimum of six months of service. These are great opportunities for retirees, stay at home parents, students or individuals looking to spend their free time helping the House
